I Thought We Were Friends
Volume 1
Tina deCoux

Fiction - Thriller
Reviewed for ReadersFavorite.com

21 year old Chris was being stalked by a fellow employee. The woman began dressing like Chris and acting like her. Things became so bizarre that Chris quit her job and left town. The danger grew stronger.

This is the first book in the Warehouse Thrillers Series. It is an edge of your seat, page turner. From the beginning of the book the suspense was strong and it just kept getting stronger. This is a thriller, sure to please the most discriminating taste.

I Thought We Were Friends by Tina deCoux was fantastic!  From the first word I couldn't put this book down until I was to the end.

Chris Borstad was a young shipping department manager for a home improvement warehouse.  She loved her job,  was respected by her crew, and loved to prove that a woman can do the job just as good if not better than a man.

Chris also had a secret - her live-in boyfriend of two and a half years is also her boss.  Nobody can know about this relationship as Bob,  her boss could very well lose his job.

When Chris is demoted unexpectedly to save money within the company,  she is angry with Bob for not sharing this with her beforehand,  and angry at Len,  the big boss for doing this to her.  Not only is she being demoted,  but she must train the new guy coming to take her place.

She goes home that night to find herself alone and wallowing in self pity.  When Bob finally decides to come home,  Chris knows something's not right.  Eventually he admits that he is leaving her for another woman.  Devestated,  Chris tries to pull her life together to make the best of it.

When she is forced to train a new receiving clerk too,  her life starts to spin out of control as the new clerk,  Shannon becomes obsessed with Chris.  In Shannon's mind her and Chris are the best of friends,  even though Shannon gives Chris the creeps.  There is more to Shannon that meets the eye and Chris is about to find out more than she would ever want to know.

This starts the scene for a fast paced thriller,  full of unexpected events and suspense, and you don't know who is telling the truth and who is out to get Chris.

deCoux did a magnificent job from the get go.  I love her writing style and the characters are so easy to love and hate.  I Thought We Were Friends is the first book in a Thriller Trilogy and will pull you in leaving you wanting more.

I give I Thought We Were Friends ***** (5) Stars,  BK Walker

First off I don't read and I read this book in less than 24 hours. It catches your attention from the first page and you just have to know what happens next. Most books lose my interest after the first chapter and I don't care to know what happens after that. This one gave me chills and made me laugh. It makes you wonder how you would handle the situations and hope they would never happen to you. A great flow to the book and easy to read it kept my attention the whole way through. I highly recomend it to anyone!

I thought it was a GREAT story!! I was on the "emotional rollercoster" with the characters. I found myself getting mad at some and trying to tell others what to do! That told me I was involved with the story. The villan was scary and I couldnt wait to see what happened in the end. Overall, I thought it was a great, quick read that made me excited for the next book!

I read this book in 2 nights! After I read 150 pages the first night I opened the book I was bummed that I was speeding through so quickly, I wanted the book to last because I loved it so much. The second night I opened the book telling myself that I would not finish it so the enjoyment would last, but the next thing I knew, I was on the last page!
I got goosebumps, tears, and laughed out loud. I cannot believe this is the first book published by the author. I was left wanting more and cannot wait for the next book to come out.
